People
Our talented employees are at the core of our expertise in science and technology. We prioritize personal growth and foster an inclusive and safe working environment, where employees are empowered to deliver exceptional performance.
Health and safety
We strive for a culture of zero accidents, whether on the job or during leisure time. We believe in proactive risk management and we are convinced that each accident is avoidable. We promote a safety mindset in our employees through various training programs and campaigns such as our “Passion for Zero” program, or the five cardinal safety rules:
- Consistent use of personal protective equipment
- Completion of required pre-employment safety training for new employees
- Full protection when working from height
- Ensuring that the workplace is safe before starting maintenance work
- Zero tolerance for removal or by-passing of safety devices
To ensure the highest health and safety standards, authorities, insurance companies and customers regularly audit us. Siegfried works closely with professional service partners including industrial specialists who control and monitor our premises around the clock and supervise our central alarm system. We are committed to complying with all applicable governmental and local programs, such as ISO45001, Responsible Care and ChemStewards® as well as the legal and internal Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) requirements.
Diversity
We are dedicated to fostering diversity, inclusion and equity internally as well as along our supply chain. As a global employer, we believe that an inclusive and diverse workforce that understands and respects cultural differences is critical for our future success and for driving innovation.
As codified in our Diversity, Inclusion and Equality policy and Code of Conduct, we do not tolerate any form of discrimination and we take any complaints relating to bullying, harassment, victimization and unlawful discrimination seriously. We value and treat everyone equally regardless of gender and gender identity, disability, race, ethnicity, national origin, cultural and social background, sexual orientation, age, tenure, marital and parental status, language, professional and industry background, veteran status, geographical experience, personal characteristics, religious belief, and diversity of thought.
Education and training
At Siegfried, we believe that continuous learning and growth are essential to both individual fulfilment and business success. Guided by our “Expect to Grow” motto, the Siegfried Academy is a cornerstone of our people strategy, helping build and strengthen the capabilities we need for today and tomorrow.
Built on the principles of learning through experience, exposure, and education, the Academy offers many development opportunities such as a global coaching program and four leadership programs designed to support employees at different stages of their careers. Beyond these programs, employees benefit from a broad learning and development environment that includes apprenticeships, technical skills training, on-the-job development opportunities, and future-ready digital initiatives, including the confident, responsible and effective use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Through practical training, internal guidelines and awareness campaigns, we help employees understand AI opportunities, risks, and best practices while empowering them to build the digital skills needed for the future.
Together, these initiatives empower our people to grow, make a meaningful impact, and contribute to Siegfried’s strategic priorities and long-term success worldwide.
Human rights and labor standards
We ensure decent working conditions, equal treatment, and zero tolerance for forced labor or discrimination. Our Human Rights & Labor Standards Commitment outlines how we foster a respectful, safe, and inclusive workplace, ensuring dignity, equality, and ethical conduct for everyone we work with.
In addition to our overarching human rights commitments, our targeted programs support fair and responsible labor conditions. We aim to ensure that all employees within our own workforce are compensated above applicable living wage levels. This commitment is supported by a global living wage assessment conducted in 2025, which demonstrated that all employees worldwide receive compensation above the applicable living wage benchmark. In addition, we also conduct regular internal reviews to monitor continued alignment and identify potential areas for improvement. We also monitor working hours, manage overtime responsibly, and ensure that overtime is compensated appropriately in accordance with applicable requirements and local practices.
We further support employee wellbeing by encouraging the full use of paid leave entitlements.
Benefits and wellbeing
Depending on the country and applicable arrangements, these may include employer-sponsored pension schemes, supplementary health and life insurance, and income protection in the event of illness, disability, or death.
We are committed to supporting employees throughout key life stages and transitions. Depending on local requirements and circumstances, this may include measures supporting employees during parenthood, such as breastfeeding and lactation support, leave arrangements or workplace flexibility.
To support a balanced and sustainable way of working, we promote flexibility in how work is organized, including flexible working hours and remote work arrangements, where the nature of the role, operational requirements and local conditions allow, in line with our corporate home office policy and applicable local practices.
